Serie de pinturas-dibujo en tinta sobre papel.
Dimensiones alrededor de los 30 x 45 cm.
La clave de serie es la condición de boceto más o menos rápido, ágil, propio del dibujo, sumado a lo pictórico del las pinceladas, luces y sombras. Así mismo su condición memorial en la enmarcación detrás de vidrio.
Son contenidas en la inmediatez, al contrario de la pintura en óleo, que puede quedar eternamente en un estado de irresolución de capas sobre capas sobre capas.
Otra clave es la fragilidad de la técnica tinta mezclada con agua y lo infantil en el ejericicio de interpretar o traducir imágenes seleccionadas como fetiches.
What I like the most about these series is the tension between drawing and painting. We have the immediacy of sketching and the process of painting finally exposed in light and darkness. I’m also in love with the definitive character of these types of washes, which cannot be painted over or redone, at least in a physical way. The images I interpret are chosen solely because there’s something in them I’m attracted to, be a mood, a gesture, an atmosphere or a kind of mystery I see in them which I wish to recreate.
